I was born in San Francisco, May 29, 1951. We moved to the Peninsula when I was six years old. My memories of San Francisco were of my grandparents taking us down to Playland at the beach, of Golden Gate park, the Aquarium, Japanese Tea Garden and of course the Planetarium, which was perhpaps my favorite.

My father was a sports enthusiast, so we were involved in all kinds of sports, including little league, Pop Warner football, skiing, skin diving and later on gymnastics. I competed as an all around in gymnastics at San Carlos High School and later at Cal State Fullerton, where I later became an All American at the national level. My sholastics interests at Fullerton were in the area of music. I took my degree courses in music and played in the orchestra, jazz band and varous ensemebles. My music career started back in 7th grade. I was in a band...we were playing tunes by Hendrix, Cream, Electric Flag, etc. It was a rich musical environment in which to grow up.

I played professionally for many years down in the Los Angeles area. My endeavors in the visual arts did not begin until around 1990, when I started getting involved in making album covers for my musical cd's.

I am currently coaching gymnastics at West Valley Gymnastics School in Campbell, California. I've been coaching there for over 20 years. It's a great job and gives me freedom to pursue my artistic endeavors. My other interests are windsurfing and hiking. The San Francisco bay area is one of the best places in the world for both of these activities.

My basic philosopy is spiritual in nature. I live simply and by the golden rule. I'm engrossed in the process of creation. I enjoy making things and as well as expressing my body of work
